What Is MNRF?

Microneedling Radiofrequency (MNRF) combines two things: the mechanical micro-injury of traditional microneedling, and radiofrequency energy delivered through the same fine needles. Together, they trigger a deeper collagen-remodelling response than microneedling alone — used for fine lines, acne scars, skin laxity, and texture.

How It Works ?

Fine needles create controlled micro-injuries in the skin while simultaneously delivering RF energy into the deeper dermal layer. This dual action triggers the skin’s natural wound-healing response, prompting new collagen and elastin production at a depth that topical treatments and standard microneedling alone can’t reach. Because the RF energy is delivered through the needles directly into the dermis, it’s more targeted and generally better tolerated than surface-level RF devices.

What to Expect ?

Skin assessment and numbing cream applied beforehand for comfort

The MNRF device is passed over the treatment area, needle depth adjusted to your skin's needs

Redness and mild swelling for a day or two is common — similar to a sunburn sensation

Typically delivered as a short course, spaced a few weeks apart

Who It's For ?

People dealing with acne scarring, fine lines, early skin laxity, or textural concerns who want a more intensive option than a standard facial or peel, without going the surgical route.

Results — What's Realistic

Skin often looks slightly firmer and more even within days, but the real collagen-remodelling effect builds over subsequent weeks to months as new collagen forms. Results tend to continue improving for several months after the final session in a course.

FAQs

Numbing cream is applied beforehand, so most patients find it tolerable rather than painful — expect some redness afterward, similar to a peel or facial.

Regular microneedling relies purely on mechanical injury to stimulate collagen; MNRF adds radiofrequency energy into the mix, reaching deeper and generally producing a more pronounced result.

Acne scarring, fine lines, skin laxity, and overall texture are the most common reasons patients choose it.
