What Is LHR?
Laser Hair Reduction uses laser energy to target melanin (pigment) in the hair follicle, damaging the follicle’s ability to produce hair over repeated sessions. It’s a long-term reduction method — not a single-session permanent solution, whatever the term “permanent” gets used loosely to suggest elsewhere.
How It Works ?
The laser targets pigment in the hair follicle specifically, largely sparing the surrounding skin. Hair grows in cycles, and lasers can only effectively target follicles in their active growth phase — which is exactly why LHR requires multiple sessions spread out over weeks, to catch follicles as they cycle through that active phase over time.
What to Expect ?
Skin and hair assessment to confirm laser settings suited to your skin tone and hair type
The treatment area is cleaned and the laser passed over it — most patients describe a warm, snapping sensation
Mild redness immediately after, usually settling within hours
A full course, typically 6–8 sessions spaced several weeks apart, is standard for meaningful reduction
Who It's For ?
Anyone looking to reduce unwanted hair on the face or body long-term rather than repeatedly waxing, threading, or shaving. Suitability depends on hair and skin tone combination — this is confirmed at consultation, not assumed.
Results — What's Realistic
Most patients see a noticeable reduction in hair growth and thickness after completing a full course, with regrowth (where it occurs) typically finer and sparser than before. Occasional maintenance sessions are common over the following years — LHR reduces hair growth significantly, but very few patients experience 100% permanent removal after one course.

FAQs
It offers long-term reduction rather than guaranteed permanent removal — most patients see significantly less hair growth after a full course, with occasional touch-ups over time.
This depends on the area, hair type, and skin tone — a typical course is 6–8 sessions, confirmed properly at consultation.
Laser settings need to be matched carefully to skin tone to be both safe and effective — this is assessed individually, not applied as one setting for everyone.
